Case study
An aging halogen lighting system at a production plant — 200% short of RETILAP requirements, and a heavy line item on the operating bill.
The challenge
Pavco Wavin's Bogotá plant ran legacy halogen fixtures producing roughly a third of the lux levels Colombian RETILAP requires for industrial work. The shortfall hit safety and productivity at once, while the halogen load drove disproportionate energy spend. The brief was to triple the working light and cut the bill in the same project.

The deployment
We replaced the halogen fixture set with smart industrial LED, configured into microzones via Spark Control — productivity lift and consumption drop in the same retrofit.
Smart Fixtures— Industrial LED specified to deliver the lux profile RETILAP requires for the plant's task mix.
Spark Mesh— Sensor-native fixture array providing per-microzone occupancy and ambient-light data.
Spark Control — microzoning— Granular dimming and scheduling per microzone, maximizing savings without compromising lux levels.
Verified outcomes
>85%
Lighting energy
Over 85% drop versus the legacy halogen baseline, driven by LED efficacy and microzone control.
+230%
Lux improvement
Lighting levels increased 230%, lifting visibility for safety and productivity in every zone.
RETILAP
Compliant
Every operating area now meets Colombian RETILAP requirements for industrial lighting.
Long-life industrial LED cuts replacement frequency relative to the halogen system it replaced.
